27 NGOs were funded at the decision of the Competition Committee under the Grant Competition announced on May 31, 2017 on the following directions:

• First direction – raising voter awareness for the 2017 Local Self-government Elections
• Second direction - support participation of vulnerable groups and women in the process of the 2017 Local Self-government Elections

The grant projects submitted by the funded NGOs foresees the facilitation of the development of electoral capacity of voters, raising awareness about elections among vulnerable groups and women, enhancing their civil responsibility, implementation of training programs and other activities for their deeper engagement in the elections.

Funded grant projects will be implemented in all regions of Georgia, from August 1 to September 30, 2017
