The Center for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training is launching the project Informed young Voters from November 16, 2015.
The project is aimed at promoting raising civic awareness of young voters, and supporting activiness of the first time voter youth.
The project will be implemented at 8 universities that are signatories of the Memorandum of Cooperation concluded among the Central Election Commission of Georgia, the Center for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training and universities, among those, at 2 regional (Telavi Iakob Gogebashvili State University, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University) and 6 universities in Tbilisi (Caucasus University, Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University, Ilia University, Sokhumi State University, Caucasus International University, Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani Teaching University, Telavi Iakob Gogebashvili State University, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University).
As part of the project, 1-hour seminars will be held for the students, in accordance with the schedules agreed upon with universities, for young voters between the age of 18 and 21. The seminars that will be conducted by 7 trainers of the training Center.
