Under the aegis of the Central Election Commission of Georgia the Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings will carry out the intensive training program on the electoral legislation for the members of precinct election commissions for the June 15, 2014 Local Self-Government Elections.
In accordance with the gradual method of the trainings, prior to the launch of first sessions of precinct election commissions, during May 14-16, 2014 precinct election commission members trained by the Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings provided briefing to commission members about the rule of the election of the leadership of precinct election commissions and distributed trainings check list prepared by The Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings on the above-mentioned topic.
The subsequent stages of the trainings of precinct election commission members will be handled by the trainers trained by The Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings. The period of the delivery of trainings comprises:
Key topics of the training are the activities of precinct election commissions during the period prior to the polling day and on the polling day.
Specific schedules of the trainings will be posted prior to the launch of the trainings at the official webpage of The Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings.
The trainings will be delivered via a combined method that comprises electronic instruction (including showing a training film) and practical training (including practical exercises and role plays).
The training Program is implemented with the financial support of the UN Development Program (UNDP) and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).
