On February 6, 2014 in conjunction with the Global Elections Day the NGOs funded under the grant competition made a presentation on the Research and Analysis of Electoral Environment. The presentation was held at the Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training.
The presentation was delivered by the following NGOs:
1. Democratic Institutions Development Academy – in the frame of the project Study/Analysis of the Capacity of Qualified Electoral Subjects.
2. Georgia Institutional Development Center – in the frame of the project Assessment of Voters Education Projects throughout Georgia.
3. Association BCG Research - in the frame of the project Study/Analysis of Voter Education Programs.
The representatives of the Election Administration, local and international organizations attended the above-mentioned presentation.
In conjunction with the Global Elections Day students of partner universities visited the CEC within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding among the CEC, the Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training and Georgia Higher Educational Institutions. The students were introduced to the permanent exhibition at the CEC - “Elections - Making of a Nation”, representing unique materials of Georgian Electoral history covering the period of 1918 -2008 years.
The CEC Chairperson Tamar Zhvania welcomed the students and outlined the importance of youth in election processes.
