The CEC and the Training Center actively continue their activities in the direction of electoral civic education, which is defined as a priority task in accordance with the 2025 Action Plan. According to the concept developed for this purpose, special attention will be conceded to young people.
At the current stage, the Training Center has implemented an authorial program in the field of electoral law at 8 partner universities. The 2025 spring semester was completed by the III-IV grade students of the Bachelor's Program of the Faculty of Law, Social Sciences and Journalism.
The young people were introduced to domestic regulations related to elections and international electoral practices. During the training process, special attention was paid to the electronic technological innovations introduced to modernize elections and to familiare voters with the election services offered by the Election Administration for the Municipal Elections to be held on October 4, 2025.
348 students (women-222; men-126) from partner universities (Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University; Ilia State University; East European University; Grigol Robakidze University Batumi Branch; Caucasus International University; Gori State University; Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University and Samtskhe-Javakheti State University) completed the spring semester of 2025. Participants evaluated the program positively, noting that the training course effectively contributes to both the acquisition of sectoral knowledge and the general improvement of electoral culture among young people.
The CEC and the Training Centre has been implementing the project at partner universities in Tbilisi and the regions since 2010. To date, about 9400 students have completed the study program.
