In accordance with the concept of trainings developed by the LEPL Centre for Election Systems Development, Reforms and Training (Training Centre), in coordination with the District Election Commissions (DEC), additional stage trainings were planned for the changed (new) members of the Precinct Election Commissions (PEC) and for those members who were not able to attend the II stage trainings provided due to the schedule.

Within the framework of the profile training program, the participants will get acquainted to the following main issues related to the competence of the PECs members:

  • organizational powers of the PEC chairman in the period from the opening of the polling station to the start of voting;
  • the functions to be distributed among the PEC members on polling day and the technique of their performance;
  • voting process at the polling station and with a mobile ballot box;
  • closure of the polling station and organizational powers of PEC chairman in the direction of preparations for the vote counting procedure;
  • functions to be distributed among the PEC members for the vote counting process and techniques of their performance;

Based on the practical training, the PECs’ members will carry out episodic staging of the polling process. For election commissions, where voting will be conducted using electronic technologies, the training program provides modeling of procedures via using voter verification machines and special electronic vote counting machines.

Trainers trained by the Training Centre will provide additional stage trainings on April 23. The schedule is available at the link (available in Georgian). In case of any changes, the information will be reflected immediately.

Information about the attendance of PECs’ members at the first and second stage trainings can be found on the following links:
