Preparations for holding by-elections of the Senaki municipality council by means of electronic technologies continue.
Mock elections in Senaki, in one of the election precincts, were held with synchronizing verification devices, as well as voting and counting devices. Mock elections were observed by the representatives of the CEC office and the training center. The mock voting process was successful and both, the members of the Precinct Election Commission (PEC) and the persons participating as voters used electronic technologies easily.
By-elections of Senaki Sakrebulo (local council) will be held on October 1, 2022. Elections will be held in three polling stations. Within the framework of the pilot project, electronic technologies will be used in the process of election procedures - voter verification, voting, and vote counting at all three precincts.
It is worth noting that the Election Administration (EA) will use synchronized verification devices for the first time as a novelty during the Senaki elections. Accordingly, the voter will be able to go to any free registrar and go through the registration (verification) procedure. This, in turn, will reduce the number of voters at the polling stations and simplify the procedure.
We would like to kindly remind you that since 2018, the EA has been successfully piloting electronic devices of various vendors.
