30 local NGOs funded by the grant competition commission as part of the grant contest announced on February 6, 2020 by the Training Centre finished the implementation of projects and presented the summary presentations regarding the results of the projects.
21 local NGOs financed in direction to develop the electoral capacity of political parties implemented information-training programs in the regions of Georgia, aimed at strengthening the human resources of political parties for 2020 Parliamentary elections in Georgia.
The awareness-raising and training program offered by NGOs familiarized the participants with the following topics:
It should be noted that in the course of the implementation of the grant projects, the Training Center, as part of its contribution, trained representatives of the parties in the following modules: rules of operation of the election administration; organizing elections (electoral cycle) and voting day; the grounds and the technique for drawing up application/complaint.
The grant projects were implemented throughout Georgia (Tbilisi, Kakheti, Kvemo Kartli, Shida Kartli, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, Samegrelo and Zemo Svaneti, Guria and Adjara) through the period of June 15 – September 14, 2020.
9 NGOs funded to ensure involvement of young voters in the Electoral Process implemented informational/ training programs for young voters, which included to inform beneficiaries (including ethnic minorities, youth, people with disabilities, IDPs) on the following issues:
It is important that the information-training programs, methodology and training materials offered under the project were developed in accordance with the age and interests of young voters.
Projects were implemented through the period of June 15 – August 14, 2020.
