Relevant instructions were delivered, in two stages, to the members of District Election Commissions in accordance with the Trainings Concept aimed at professional training of DECs members for 2020 Parliamentary Elections, Sakrebulo By-elections and Extraordinary Mayoral Elections to be held on October 31, 2020.
On the 1st stage, instructing of the members of 63 DECs (20 main and 43 subsidiary DECs) regarding the issues within the competence of main and subsidiary DECs were conducted during September 10 – 16, 2020. The instructions to the DEC members were delivered by DEC head officers.
On the 2nd stage, instructing of the members 73 DECs were conducted ,during 19 – 22 September, on the following major issues: coordination/communication between DECs and PECs (including organizational – logistical tasks); regulations regarding conducting of elections in safe environment under pandemic; voters lists; polling day and managing electoral operations; summarizing election/polling results at DEC; election integrity and security. These instructions were delivered by Training Centre employees in online format.
