Under the July 17, 2019 Order №131/2019  (available in Georgian), the Central Election Commission of Georgia granted consent to the Director of the Center for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training, LEPL, to determine the composition of grant competition commission per the Rule of Awarding Grants, in conjunction with the grant competition announced on June 25, 2019.

Individuals with relevant experience from academic sector, international organizations, international NGOs and budgetary institutions have been included in the Commission.

Grant Competition Committee will evaluate bidding documents submitted by NGOs at the Training Center according to pre-established objective criteria (available in Georgian) and will independently take a decision about funding or refusal to fund NGOs participating in the grant competition.

The grant competition process is transparent. The Training Center will proactively publish information related to the competition and competition results on the website. Furthermore, access to public information for any interested individual, based on requests.
