The Election Administration (EA) of Georgia launched the process of introducing reporting system at the District Election Commissions. Training course on reporting for DEC officials is in process. Training participants are get acquainted with the reporting rule and structure of reporting. They are engaged in practical exercises and in a group; they prepare presentations on various electoral activities. During the conclusive part of the training course, the DEC representatives are getting acquainted with the implementation plan of information campaign “Talk to Voters”. Election Administration piloted the project in 2017 and the camping is carried out in 2018.
Training course is being conducted by the CEC and its Training Center staff.
Tamar Zhvania, the CEC Chairperson and Giorgi Javakhishvili, Commission Secretary made opening remarks at the training course conducted on May 1 – 4 at the CEC. CEC officials underlined the importance of planning and reporting of Election Administration activities. As Ms. Zhvania mentioned, introducing the reporting at the DECs is the important step for the EA.
Training course on reporting is being conducted gradually for the DEC Chairpersons and Deputy Chairpersons: Training course, conducted on May 1-4 at the CEC was attended by the Chairpersons/Deputy Chairpersons of Tbilisi, Kakheti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Kvemo Kartli and Shida Kartli DECs. On May 7-10, the similar training course will be conducted at Racha-Lechkhumi, Imereti, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Adjara and Guria.
