The Training Centre implements a project “Informed Young Voter” at partner universities for young voter aged between 18-21.
As part of the above-mentioned initiative, 2-hour seminars are held for university students during which they will get information about different topics, including the essence of elections and its importance in the country’s democratization process; international values and principles regarding elections; election stakeholders and their role in electoral processes; active citizenship, importance of a single vote and main reasons for participating in the October 2018 Presidential elections.
The seminars were held at Kutaisi Akaki Tsereteli State University (April 30, 2018) and Grigol Robakidze University (May 3, 2018). By May 31 the project will be gradually implemented in partner universities of Training Centre.
The „Informed Young Voters“ Project was launched in 2013 and is aimed at raising civic awareness among young voters and supporting enhanced active engagement of those young voters who are participating in the elections for the first time.
