Today, field working meeting was held by the initiative of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia. During the meeting, organized in Kachreti issues related with the use of administrative resources, prohibition of the use of budgetary funds and participation of the public servants in pre-election agitation are being discussed.
The meeting is attended by the heads of the legal structural units of the state subordinate agencies of the executive bodies, the State Audit Office, the Prosecutor's Office of Georgia and the State Security Service of Georgia; as well as Members of the Inter-Agency Task Force at the Ministry of Justice.

"This type of meeting is being held for the first time this year. This is a very important initiative of the CEC as we discuss those significant issues that are noteworthy for conducting elections; the issues concern agitation rules, involvement of public officials in the agitation, use of administrative resources and vote bribing issues; It is essential that, as a result, the heads of executive bodies participating in this meeting will provide more information to their employees about their rights in the electoral processes” – admitted Archil Anasashvili, the Head of the CEC Legal Department.
"The topics that we consider today are very interesting and useful, because the misuse of administrative resources should be avoided," said Zviad Okropiridze, Head of Legal Department of the Ministry of Defense.
The meeting organized by the CEC Legal Department with the involvement of the CEC Training Center will be completed tomorrow and it aims to share uniform practices and provide information to the relevant agencies on the abovementioned issues.
