On July 4, 2017 the Centre for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training resumed the implementation of the program – “Review of Election Procedures and General Training Course”. The training, implemented as part of continuous professional development of Electoral Administration employees pursuant to the Election Administration of Georgia 2015-2019 Strategic Plan, is directed at new staff and interns of the Electoral Administration (CEC apparatus and Training Centre).
The training included such topics as: the history of elections in Georgia, electoral cycle, election administration and the Code of Ethics, activities of district and precinct election commissions and elections day procedures.
Employees of various structural units of the CEC and Training Centre (HRM, Internal Audit Service, Legal Department, Coordination, Planning and Reporting Department, Finance Department, Training Centre’s Administrative Division, Training Centre’s Certification and Project Management Division) took the course. In total, 14 participants attended the training, among them 8 men and 6 women.
“Review of Election Procedures and General Training Course” will be conducted in stages according to the EA Action Plan - 2017.
