From May 2 through May 23, 2017, "Informed Young Voters" Project was implemented at 10 partner universities: Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University; Ilia State University; Tbilisi Open Teaching University; Georgia David Aghmashenebeli University; Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University; Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University; Kutaisi Akaki Tsereteli State University; Grigol Robakidze University; Samtskhe-Javakheti State University.
As part of the above-mentioned initiative, 1-hour seminars were held for university students to acquaint them with the essence of elections and significant role of voters in electoral processes. 370 students participated in the project, among them women - 235, men - 135.
The Informed Young Voters Project was launched in 2013 and is aimed at promoting the topic of elections among young voters, suppoart raising their civic awareness and informing the students around full-fledged realization of their electoral rights; this, in turn, envisages supporting enhanced active engagement of young voters in elections.
