CEC and Training Centre elaborated new project - “Talking to Voters”.

CEC chairperson Tamar Zhvania talked about the importance of the project and goals to chairs of Tbilisi, Kakheti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Kvemo Kartli and Shida Qartli District Election Commissions (DECs); in terms of interacting with voters during field trips to raise their awareness on 2017 elections that in turn would support establishing close communications between the DECs and voters.

Director of the CEC Training Center, Heads of the CEC Coordination, Planning and Reporting Department and Public Relations Department discussed the details of project implementation together with the participants.

During the meeting, gender issues in the election context were discussed. Working meetings with the support of IFES will be held gradually at every DEC (Samegrelo, Svaneti, Adjara, Guria, Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi).
