On February 22, 2017, the Centre for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms, and Training resumed the implementation of the orientation program – Overview of Elections and General Training Course in Procedures. The training, implemented as part of continuous professional development of Electoral Administration employees pursuant to the Election Administration of Georgia 2015-2019 Strategic Plan, is directed at new employees and interns of the Electoral Administration (CEC apparatus, district election commissions).
The training included such topics as: the history of elections in Georgia, electoral cycle, electoral administration and the Code of Ethics, activities of district and precinct election commissions and polling day procedures.
Employees of various structural units of the CEC (HRM, Internal Audit Unit, Legal Department, Information Security Department, IT Department, Finance Department) took the course. A total of 17 participants attended the training, including 11 men and 6 women.
