From September 17, 2023, the III stage of trainings for the members of the Precinct Election Commissions (PEC) begins, which is dedicated to the retraining of the PEC’s full staff (except the secretary of the commission).

In accordance with the concept developed by the Training Center, within the framework of the intensive training program, the participants will receive detailed information on the functions to be performed by the PEC members during the period from the opening of the polling station to it’s closing. The program is based on the principle of practical learning, helps the participants to consolidate the knowledge gained at the previous training stage and transform it into practice by modeling the stages of the polling day.

For election commissions, where polling will be conducted using electronic technologies, the training program provides modeling of procedures using voter verification machines, special electronic vote counting machines and tablet computers. Attention will be focused on the procedure of counting the ballots and the technique of drawing up the summary protocol of polling results. The program also envisages the training of members of the special group.

Trainers trained by the Training Centre will provide III stage trainings for PEC members in the period of September 17-21, 2023. The schedule is available at the link (available in Georgian). If case of any changes, the information will be reflected immediately.
