From May 29 through June 24, 2023, the CEC and the Training Centre implemented the informational- training project “Courses for Electoral Administrators – for Potential Members of Precinct Election Commissions”, in all 64 municipalities throughout Georgia.

16298 citizens were registered to participate in the project, 13137 of them completed the course (Certificates of successful completion of the course were given to 12260 participants).

Within the profile training program developed by the Training Centre, the participants got acquainted with the following key topics:

• overview of the status and main powers of the PEC;
• activities of the PEC in the process of preparations for the polling day;
• voting procedure and technique of performance of functions by the PEC members during the polling process;
• operation and manner of use of voter verification and electronic vote counting machines during the polling process (modeling will be carried out in the format of synchronous teaching);
• completing the polling process, counting the votes and drawing up a summary protocol of the voting results.

In order to familiarize with the practical aspects of the activities of the Precinct Election Commission, important emphasis in the training program was placed on the technological innovations integrated in the election process. With the involvement of project participants, episodic stagings of voting procedures were conducted, using the voter verification machine and the electronic vote counting machine.

The information-training course was carried out by 206 trainers trained by the Training Centre. The project "Election Administrator Courses" aims to train interested persons as potential members of Precinct Election Commissions and to raise election civil awareness.
