Trainings of the PECs’ Members for the Second Round of October 2, 2021 Municipal Elections Are Underway

In accordance with the training concept elaborated by the Training Centre for the Second Round of October 2, 2021 Municipal Elections, IV stage trainings will be launched on October 25, which is dedicated to the training of PECs’ members (except for head officials).

Within the format of thoroughly discussing functions to be implemented by PECs’ members on polling day, the training participants will receive information on the following important issues:

  • overview of the procedures to be applied from 07:00 to 08:00 on polling day (among them, sanitary and hygienic requirements for entering/exiting polling stations and while in/moving around a building, to prevent spreading of the Novel Coronavirus infection
  • overview of functions to be performed by the PECs’ members in compliance with the epidemiological protocol (the focus will be on the functions of registrar, flow regulator, supervisor of ballot box and transporter of mobile ballot box)
  • overview of data counting process by registrars and voters' personal data protection issues
  • closing of the election precinct and vote counting procedure (among them, video fixation of vote-counting process; authorities of PECs’ members regarding the summary protocol of polling results)

Members of PECs operating in N4 Krtsanisi election district will get acquaitted to the issues within their competence, taking into account specifics of the pilot project using electronic technologies in the election process.

144 trainers trained by the Training Centre will deliver the IV stage trainings through the period of October 25 – 27. The study process will be conducted in compliance with all recommendations related to the pandemic. Rapid tests will be available for the training participants at training locations.
