To ensure continuous professional development of Election Administration employees according to the Election Administration of Georgia 2015-2019 Strategic Plan, from February 29, 2016, the implementation of the Training Course Managing Electoral Processes for permanent members of district election commissions was launched.
The Training Course is implemented according to the BRIDGE Program (Building Resources in Democracy Governance and Elections). It involves teaching the following modules: international standards of elections, credibility of elections, managing electoral disputes and resolution mechanisms – prevention, managing electoral conflicts, guiding principles for electoral operations, planning electoral process, time management, team management, leadership, communication and reporting.
365 permanent members of 73 district election commissions will take the above-mentioned training course (in cohorts).
Training Center employees will deliver the trainings, jointly with the BRIDGE Expert Facilitator invited by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) and the CEC representative.
The trainings will be held in Batumi, from February 29 through April 6, 2016 (a total of 15 trainings will be held; duration of each training course is 3 days).
