Tamar Zhvania, Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia congratulated the completion of studies to the Law Clinic students of the CEC Training Center. Ms. Zhvania talked about the importance of conducting elections in transparent and professional manner, which is an integral part of the democratic development of the country.
Students met with the Heads of CEC departments and got acquainted with the working process and the structure of election administration.
The Law Clinic at the CEC Training Center is functioning since 2010 and aims at deepening necessary professional knowledge of Election Law, developing practical skills and increasing the civic awareness of the law faculty students from higher educational institutions. At this stage 144 students completed the training course. On April 7, 2015 the last semester was launched and the students of faculty of law from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Sokhumi State University and Caucasus University attanded the courses.
