From April 7, 2015, the CEC Training Center commenced the delivery of the training course in electoral law under the Law Clinic. The courses are intended for law students of the following universities of Georgia: Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Sokhumi State University, and Caucasus University.
The first meeting was opened by Natia Zaalishvili, Training Center Director. She briefed the students about the goals and expected achievements of the training course. She also highlighted the specifics of the Law Clinic and the opportunities for the students in terms of enhancement of professional skills.
To support the delivery of the training course under the Law Clinic, the CEC Training Center prepared e-presentations and a manual for the students of Georgia universities.
The training course is aimed at the enhancement of necessary professional knowledge of university students in electoral law, development of their practical skills, raising their civic awareness. The above-mentioned training course that is run in lectures throughout one semester is delivered by the Training Center also at 19 partner universities of Georgia.
