The new educational initiative of the electoral administration, the 'Electoral Media School,' has been successfully completed. One of the primary objectives of this pilot project was to enhance the electoral environment and raise awareness among journalism students regarding electoral issues.

Certificates marking the successful completion of the educational project were presented to the participants by Giorgi Kalandarishvili, Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC), and Natia Ioseliani, CEC Spokesperson. Chairperson Kalandarishvili expressed his gratitude to the young participants for their involvement in the project and expressed the hope that the knowledge and insights gained during the program will be beneficial in their future professional endeavors.

Over the course of two weeks, students of the 'Electoral Media School' engaged with a range of important topics, including: electoral systems and models of electoral administration; electronic voting; voting procedures; inclusive electoral environment; the role of media in the electoral process; international practices; media rights and responsibilities in election coverage; the legislation and practices in force in Georgia; disinformation as a global challenge and strategies to address it; misconceptions and the formation of public opinion; and other related subjects.

Notably, project participants had the opportunity to receive information and share their own experiences through meetings and discussions with invited experts and senior officials of the Central Election Commission (CEC).

The project was implemented within the framework of the memorandum of understanding between the CEC and the Youth Agency, as well as the memoranda established between the CEC Training Centre and higher education institutions.
