The delegation from the election administration, led by Giorgi Kalandarishvili, Chair of the Central Election Commission, embarked on an official visit to the United Mexican States at the invitation of the National Electoral Institute of Mexico and the Electoral Institute of Mexico City. The delegation participated in an international forum held on May 30-31, and on June 1, they observed the elections for the local and federal judiciary in Mexico.
During the visit, the CEC Chairperson and members of the delegation met with Zaza Gabunia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United Mexican States, to discuss the key matters of the visit. The meeting also addressed potential avenues for cooperation with election administrations in the countries under the Embassy's jurisdiction, as well as exploring opportunities for the election administration's involvement in various international projects.
The meeting was attended by Giorgi Kalandarishvili, Chair of the Central Election Commission, Parmen Jalagonia, Chair of the Adjara Supreme Election Commission, Natia Zaalishvili, Director of the LEPL Electoral Systems Development, Reforms, and Training Centre, and Giorgi Lipartia, Head of the State Procurement Division of the CEC Finance Department.
The election administration delegation was on an official visit to Mexico from May 29 to June 2.
