Based on mutual grant competition of Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings and UNDP, dated May 27 of 2013, 8 winner NGOs were announced by the decision of the competition commission. Winner NGOs shall accomplish projects for pre-election period “Public awareness campaign for 2013 presidential elections”, aiming awareness of voters on election issues, stimulating of motivation, development of civil responsibility and supporting their election activity.

For effective management of the projects, information meeting was held at Training Center, on July 12. Trainers of the Training Center and UNDP introduced the following issues to the participants:

• Elections and importance of participation in elections;

• History of elections in Georgia and legislative regulation of elections;  

• Participants of elections and voting process;

• Aspects of civil education and awareness of voters.
