On October 8, 2024, the Director of the Training Centre Natia Zaalishvili met Beatrix Boonekamp, an analyst of the Election Administration of the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations (ENEMO).
The subject of discussion at the meeting was the projects developed by the Training Centre within the preparatory phase for the elections, the purpose of which is related to the institutional strengthening of Election Administration, the raising of civil election awareness and the support of the inclusive election environment.
The Director of the Training Centre discussed in detail the professional training programs for District and Precinct Election Commissions. On the issue of promoting the staffing of election commissions with qualified staff, the representatives of the observation mission were also provided with information about the certification exam cycle, which was administered by the Training Centre, in cooperation with the CEC, through the period of September 2023 - July 2024, on a continuous basis throughout the country.
Natia Zaalishvili focused on the mechanisms of the large-scale voter information campaign and the informational-study projects implemented with the focus on raising the electoral awareness of the stakeholders, which aims at informing about technological innovations, promote adaptation to innovations and forming the uniform perception of the relevant regulations.
At the end of the meeting, the Director of the Training Centre handed over to the analyst of the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations the guidelines for the members of the District/Precinct election commissions, translated into English.
The Training Centre greatly appreciates the high interest of the international observation mission to the activities of the institution, which serves the common goal of supporting democratic election processes.
