The CEC and the Training Centre continue the information campaign, the purpose of which is to introduce the technological innovations implemented in the election process to the young people and promote their formation as active, informed voters.
At this stage, the informational meeting was held in Tbilisi on June 22, 2024, at the initiative of the National Association of SOS Children's Villages of Georgia. 22 students, beneficiaries of the association, took part in it.
The meeting was opened by the Deputy Chairman of the CEC, Giorgi Sharabidze, who briefed about the positive aspects of the use of electronic technologies in election processes and the trends of election modernization. The participants were also welcomed by the Deputy Director of the Training Centre, Nino Berulava, who emphasized the issues of raising civic awareness and the importance of the role of each voter in the elections.
During the informational course, the representatives of the Training Centre introduced the novelties of electronic voting to the young people and the services offered to the voters by the Election Administration of Georgia. The meeting was held in the format of practical training, students took part in simulated voting process using electronic devices.
The ongoing campaign with young people echoes the strategic priority of the CEC and the Training Center activities, which is focused on improving the election environment and promoting the growth of public awareness.
