The Central Election Commission of Georgia (CEC) and the LEPL Centre for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training (Training Center) have launched preparations for the upcoming certification exams of Election Administration officials.

The goal of certification is to determine the knowledge of electoral legislation and general skills of citizens of Georgia, in order to further facilitate the selection of highly qualified election administration officials.

The Training Centre provides certification exams for Election Administration officials in exam centers operating in 11 municipalities: Tbilisi (2 examination centers), Telavi, Rustavi, Gori, Akhaltsikhe, Tkibuli, Kutaisi, Zestafoni, Ozurgeti, Senaki, Batumi.

The period of registration for the exam is July 25-31, 2024. During the mentioned period, the citizen will have the opportunity to register for the exam online or through the exam secretariats. The online registration link, as well as the addresses of exam centers and exam secretariats will be published on the Training Centre website in same date.

Certification exam is being conducted via e-testing method. 24 exam tests are automatically selected for the examinee in the electronic program, using a random selection method. To receive a positive assessment, the examinee must score 15 points. The validity period of the certificate is determined by the period of 5 years after passing the exam.

For the attention of citizens

The Training Centre offers citizens the opportunity to take a free preparatory training course for the certification exam of Election Administration officials, which is based on the discussion and practical tasks of the tests determined by the examination program. The implementation of the preparatory course is planned for the period of July 15-19, 2024 (during working hours). The full duration of the course is 5 days (2.00 hours per day), it will be conducted remotely (using zoom platform).

In case of the desire to take the preparatory course for the certification exam, the citizen must register remotely from June 25 to July 10, 2024, on the appropriate link (24-hour mode).
