The representatives of the Election Administration of Georgia observed the parliamentary Elections of the Republic of Maldives.
The Georgian delegation, which included Giorgi Chikaberidze, a member of the CEC, Natia Zaalishvili, director of the Centre for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training (Training Center), Giorgi Santuriani, head of the Legal Department of the CEC, and Giorgi Ezugbaia, head of the Administrative Department of the Training Centre vizited the Republic of Maldives to observe elections, in the status of an international observer. Within the framework of the official visit, the members of the delegation met with the Chairman of the Election Commission of the Republic of Maldives and attended briefings organized for international observers. On the election day, they monitored the opening of polling stations, the voting process, the process of vote counting and summarising.
Elections in the Republic of Maldives were held on April 21, 2024. The representatives of the Election Administration of Georgia participated in the international observation mission at the official invitation of the Election Commission of the Republic of Maldives.
