On March 27, 2024, the certification exams of election administration officials were completed. The goal of certification is to determine the knowledge of electoral legislation of Georgian citizens, in order to further facilitate the selection of highly qualified election administration officials.
Citizens were served by 12 exam centers opened in 11 municipalities. Those wishing to take the exam had the opportunity to choose an exam center operating in one of the listed municipalities: Tbilisi (2 locations), Telavi, Rustavi, Gori, Akhaltsikhe, Tkibuli, Kutaisi, Zestafoni, Ozurgeti, Senaki or Batumi.
Out of 970 citizens registered, 591 examinees appeared in the exam center. According to the results of passing the exam, 475 persons (80%) received the certificate (women – 324; men - 151). The Training Centre offered those registered citizens the opportunity to take a free preparatory training course for the certification exam of election administration officials. Within the 5-day program, the representatives of the Training Centre together with the participants discussed the content of the tests determined by the examination program, reviewed the relevant legislative acts and performed practical tasks. The preparatory training course was conducted remotely (using the zoom platform) during March 15-21.
The certification exams of election administration officials were held through the period of March 22-27, this year, by the LEPL Centre for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training with the Central Election Commission of Georgia.
