The delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which includes representatives of the Election Administration, the Parliamentary Assembly and other agencies, is on a two-day visit to Georgia to share election experience.
Today, the representatives of the delegation met with Natia Zaalishvili, director of the Election Education Centre of Georgia. She delivered to the members of the delegation detailed information about the institutional arrangement and main activities of the Training Centre, discussed the training programs introduced for voters, election commissions and election stackeholders, process of administration of certification of Election Administration Officials, members and head officials of Precinct Election Commissions, also introduced the training concepts developed for the non-election and election period focusing on the development of election culture.
Chairman of the Election Administration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Irena Hadjiabdic, noted that the delegation is particularly interested in the work of the Georgian Election Training Centre, as they plan to establish a similar institution, and the long-term professional practice of the Georgian Training Center is essentially important for them.
Within the two-day visit, the representatives of the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina met with the chairman of the Central Election Commission of Georgia, the heads and representatives of structural units of the CEC, who shared with the members of the delegation information about Georgia's experience in the direction of implementing electronic elections, legislative news, the use of electronic technologies in elections and a large-scale campaign to inform voters. The members of the delegation also got acquainted with the activities of the State Services Development Agency and the Personal Data Protection Service.
The visit of the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Georgia is being carried out under the auspices of the OSCE.
