The second stage of the certification exams for the members of Precinct Election Commission (PEC) has been completed.
Exams were held through the period of November 10-16, 2023. LEPL Centre for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training and Electoral Information Technology Department of Central Election Commission, according to the competences, ensured the organization of the examination process, operation of computer programs and holding examination. 12 examination centers (information is available in Georgian) opened in 10 municipalities served the citizens
Out of a total of 6257 citizens registered for the exam, 4788 examinees appeared in the exam centers. According to the results of passing the exam, 4752 persons received the certificate of PEC members (4198 - women; Man – 554). The mentioned certification exam echoes to the electoral reform. For the first time this year, the certification exam cycle was held in two stages: I stage – September-October, 2023, II stage –November, 2023. According to the total statistical data, 14381 persons were registered for the exam at both stages, 10649 persons were presented at the exam, out of them, 10565 citizens became the holders of the PEC head officials’ certificate.
