The first stage of the certification exams for the head officials of the Precinct Election Commission (PEC) has been completed.

The exams started from September 11, 2023. In order to organize the process, the CEC and the training center carried out complex works. Examination centers (information available in Georgian) opened in 16 municipalities served the citizens during the registration for the exam and during the examination. The examination center operated continuously in the disaster zone, the secretariat operating in Ozurgeti accepted 243 people for the exam. It is important that the citizens who, considering the force majeure situation, could not take part in the current exams, will have the opportunity to pass the certification exam for the PEC head officials at the second stage, which is planned to be held at the Ozurgeti exam center in October.

The first stage exams ended on September 16. Out of a total of 6,299 citizens registered for the exam, 4912 examinees appeared in the exam centers. According to the results of passing the exam, 4813 persons received the certificate of PEC head officials, including 3826 - women; Man - 987.
