Trainings for the PECs’ members will be launched from October 21, 2021.
In accordance with the training concept elaborated by the Training Centre, I, II and III stages of the trainings for the Second Round of October 2, 2021 Municipal Elections are envisaged for the PECs’ head officials (chairperson, deputy chairperson, secretary).
Within the program, all 3 stages will emphasize the techniques of drawing up polling result summary protocols. Furthermore, within the format of thoroughly discussing other functions to be implemented by PECs’ head officials on polling day, the training participants will receive information on the following important issues:
Head official of PECs operating in N4 Krtsanisi election district will get acquaitted to the issues within their competence, taking into account specifics of the pilot project using electronic technologies in the election process.
144 trainers (among them, members of DECs, engaged in trainings as trainers) trained by the Training Centre will deliver trainings for the head officials of 1830 PECs.
The study process will be conducted in compliance with all recommendations related to the pandemic. Rapid tests will be available for the training participants at training locations.

Additionally, the pilot electronic training program “Technique of Drawing up Summary Protocol of Polling Results”, developed within the cooperation between the CEC, the Training Centre and International Foundation of Electoral Systems (IFES), will also be implemented for the second round of elections. The program is aimed at strengthening professional knowledge and practical skills of PEC’s head officials (chairperson, secretary), responsible for drawing up the summary protocol, on the techniques of drawing up summary protocols of polling results. After having finished centralized, face-to-face trainings the PECs’ head officials will have an opportunity to check their knowledge about drawing up summary protocols by using the electronic program as an additional resource. The pilot project is implemented with the organizational support from the DECs. In order to undergo through the electronic program the PECs’ head officials will have an access to relevant computer techniques (DEC’s buildings and other relevant spaces).
