Election Administration (EA) of Georgia prepared a report on October 31, 2020 Parliamentary Elections (Document is available only in Georgian), that includes information on activities implemented by the EA to administer the parliamentary elections. The Central Election Commission (CEC) presented the report to the Parliament of Georgia.
Parliamentary Elections covered the first round of elections conducted on October 31 and the second round of Elections held on November 21 at 17 majoritarian election districts.
First and the second round of elections of Supreme Council of Adjara Autonomous Republic, October 21, 2017 Sakrebulo By-elections conducted through majoritarian election system in Tbilisi city (N4.07 Krtsanisi local majoritarian election district), Telavi, Tetritskaro and Oni Municipalities, as well as first and second round of Extraordinary Mayoral Elections in Kaspi, Oni, Kharagauli, Terjola and Kutaisi municipalities were conducted along with the parliamentary elections.
All important challenges, particularly the issues related to the novel coronavirus were considered while organizing the parliamentary elections (I and II round). International observer organizations evaluated parliamentary elections as competitive, where freedom of expression and fundamental rights were protected.
