In order to increase women's participation in the electoral process and promote their awareness on election issues the Training Centre has Developed Information-training Program - "Promoting Women's Capacity Development for Exercising Passive Suffrage".

26 women from different political parties took part in the program. The informational-training meeting was held in an on - line format. Participants got acquainted with the important issues related to the October 31, 2020 elections, among them:

• legislative novelties related to the electoral system;
• gender equality in elections;
• rules and deadlines for nomination/registration of a candidate for membership in the Parliament of Georgia;
• pre-election campaign (agitation) and prevention of misappropriation of administrative resources;
• prevention of cyberbullying in the election process;
• legal status of the representative of the election subject (communication with election commissions, election disputes);
• polling day (including regulations on holding elections in a safe environment in a pandemic).

The presented initiative was implemented in cooperation with the CEC and aims to promote the development of an inclusive election environment.
