Registration process for those willing to participate in the Training Project “Courses for Electoral Administrators – for Potential Members of PECs” is finished. From March 16 to March 27, 2020 up to 11 500 applications were submitted to 73 District Election Commissions throughout the country.
The training program evaluated by the Training Centre envisages profile training about polling day procedures and other issues regarding the PECs competences, aiming to raise civic awareness on elections and support development of qualified staff for the Election Administration.
Implementation of the trainings, within the above-mentioned initiative, was originally scheduled from April 28 to May 29, 2020 in the locations within the coverage area of each DEC where the applicants submitted their documentations. However, in accordance with the recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Government of Georgia, in order to prevent the spread of novel Coronavirus, at this stage, the implementation period of the project has been rescheduled to May-June 2020.
All the updates related to the specific dates for implementing the training programs will be available on the Training Centre and CEC’s websites. The DECs will provide further information about the trainings to the applicants selected for the project.
