Georgian Election Administration (EA) hosted representatives of the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia. During the two-day visit, representatives of the Central Election Commission (CEC) and its Training Centre shared their experiences with Armenian delegation.
Members of the delegation, which included the Secretary of the Armenian Election Administration, a member, staff of the Office and representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Armenia, met with CEC officials, as well as with the heads of CEC Legal, Voter Lists and Electoral Processes Management and Departments of Relations with Election Commissions.
At the meeting, parties discussed the strategic planning process of election administrations, election dispute resolution, administering of elections, and new technologies in the electoral process.
As for the draft CEC Strategic Plan 2020-2023, Anna Mikeladze, CEC Spokesperson and Head of the Strategic Planning Team, presented the information to Armenian colleagues. Ms. Mikeladze discussed with the group members the key directions of the draft strategic plan.
Within the framework of the visit, Natia Zaalishvili, the Head of the CEC Training Centre together with representatives of the Centre met with delegation members and discussed the activity, capacity and effectiveness of the Training Centre.
The members of the group viewed the historical photo exhibition at the CEC and visited the CEC library.
The official visit of the Armenian Central Electoral Commission (CEC) was held in the framework of the Electoral Support Project in Armenia (ESPA) of the United Nations Development Programme on December 16-17.
