On May 3, 2019, the Institute for the Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) recognized the Center for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training as an open public institution. Natia Zaalishvili, Training Center Director received a special certificate for ensuring full-fledged access to public information in 2018.
IDFI assessed 282 public institutions for assessing the degree of access to public information in 2018 in Georgia. The Training Center received high assessment according to the results (indicator – 100%). Notably, the Training Center received this award for the fourth time (2011, 2015, 2016 and 2018).
The award ceremony was held in Tbilisi, at Holiday Inn Hotel, and 43 public institutions received certificates to recognize their achievement in ensuring access to public information.
Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) has been performing the monitoring of access to public information since 2010. The research (available in Georgian) conducted in 2018 was performed with United States Agency for International Development (USAID) support.
