Courses for Electoral Administrators – Profile Program for Potential Lawyers of DECs
From June 20 through June 25, 2019, the Training Center conducted a training program Courses for Electoral Administrators – for potential lawyers of DECs. The participants for the mentioned project were selected by 64 municipalities, in consideration of pre-determined conditions and testing results.
The awareness raising and training course developed by the Training Center focused on administrative proceedings in relation to voting day applications/complaints. In the practical training format, the participants were acquainted with the following significant topics:
- causes of electoral disputes: identification of procedural risks at polling stations on voting day;
- administrative proceedings;
- organizing and holding DEC session;
- drafting DEC/DEC Chairperson’s decisions on electoral disputes;
- counterclaim form and details.
The trainings were held in stages, to 3 groups, 60 participants were trained (38 - female, 22 - male). The awareness raising and training course was delivered by the Training Center staff.
The Training Center has been implementing the above-mentioned training project in cooperation with the CEC since 2018; it is aimed at supporting the development of qualified human resources within the electoral administration.
