Students of N64 public school visited the Election Administration of Georgia. Giorgi Sharabidze, Deputy Chairperson of the CEC talked with the youth about the importance of elections and engagement of citizens in electoral processes.
Mr. Giorgi Sharabidze made an emphasis on the use of modern technologies in the electoral processes. He also, paid attention to the first democratic elections held in independent Georgia. In the frames of the visit, the seminar entitled “Informed Yong Voter” was held by Maia Zaridze, representative of the Training Center of the CEC. Also, mock election process was conducted within the seminar: Students practiced all the stages that the voter goes at the polling station on Election Day.
At the end of the visit, students visited the photo exhibition and the CEC library, where they received detailed information about the historical documents and existed materials.a
