According to the Concept of Trainings (available in Georgian) developed by the Training Center for the Parliamentary By-elections of Georgia and Extraordinary Mayoral Elections, on April 23-24, 2019, first stage trainings for PEC members will be held. The training will be focused on PEC leadership.

As part of the profile training program, the participants will get acquainted with the following key matters:

• activities of PECs during the period up to the voting day;
• organizational, supervision and response powers of PEC leadership in the process of managing electoral operations on the voting day;
• rights of persons authorized to be present in the polling station;
• voters’ personal data protection;
• communication/coordination with DECs;
• summarizing polling results at the election commission and fill out voting results summary protocol.

To promote enhanced procedural knowledge of PEC leadership, the training will be delivered using a combined methodology; this will include episodic role-plays by participants to enhance practical skills. As part of the practical teaching, PEC leadership will also be acquainted with the matters of participation of voters with disabilities in elections via a video and they will receive relevant instructions.
