The Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training (the Training Center), during April 1-10, 2019, holds the training program Developing Trainer’s Professional Skills.
Tamar Zhvania, the CEC Chair, and Natia Zaalishvili, the Training Center Director, opened the event. They spoke about the importance of the above-mentioned initiative aimed at the identification and development of potential trainers for supporting the implementation of electoral training programs. Giorgi Sharabidze, Deputy CEC Chair, and Giorgi Javakhishvili, the CEC Secretary also greeted the participants.
A four-day training program designed by the Training Center for potential trainers envisages:
Participants were selected for the above-mentioned program by 63 municipalities. Based on the review of up to 250 filled applications, testing and interview results, 88 participants were selected for the training project. The trainings will be delivered in 2 streams to 4 groups (1st stream: April 1-4; 2nd stream: 7-10 April). The participants who pass the training program successfully, will be enrolled in the reserve of trainers of the Electoral Administration. The Training Center may use the resource of reserve trainers for the implementation of various awareness-raising and training programs, based on the consent of such individuals. The Training Center representatives deliver the trainings.
