On June 25 of current year, at 15:00 p.m., meeting was held at “Courtyard Marriott”, where Tbilisi Open University, Caucasus International University and University of Georgia joined Cooperation Memorandum concluded between the Central Election Commission, Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings and higher accredited institutions of Georgia.
Cooperation Memorandum covers introduction of election law course at the faculties of Journalism, Law and Social Sciences of partner universities, improving of civil awareness of the students and development of practical skills.
Representatives of the Central Election Commission and Training Center, rectors of higher educational institutions accredited in Georgia and deans of the law and journalism faculties and representatives of local international organizations attended the meeting.
Rectors of partner higher educational institutions, together with management of the CEC and Training Center summed up 2011-2012 academic year, at the meeting. Also, videos were presented, prepared by those students of journalism faculty, participating in election course. Chairman of the CEC Zurab Kharatishvili and Director of the Training Center Ms. Natia Zaalishvili awarded the law clinic students of Training Center Certificates for successful achievements.
