Tamar Zhvania, chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia and Natia Zaalishvili, Director of the Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training Center participated in the 27th Annual Conference and General Assembly meeting organized by the Association of European Election Officials (ACEEEO) and the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Lithuania.

The main topic of the conference referred to the “Guaranteeing Voter Privacy, Security and Integrity” and the special emphasis was made on cybersecurity issues of electoral processes.

CEC Chairperson delivered the speech at the conference and highlighted the projects and activities implemented by the Election Administration, that supported the increase of public trust towards the electoral processes.

About 150 representatives of Election Management Bodies and electoral stakeholders participated in the conference. Annual Conference and General Assembly Meeting of ACEEEO were conducted on September 5-7, in Vilnius.
