Representatives of Election Administration (EA) participated in the specialized training programme on ICT-based election management. The training was conducted for the EA officials and organized by the Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB) in the Republic of South Korea.
Within the framework of training programme, Avtandil Tsiskaridze, Head of Voters' List Formation and Informational Technologies Department of the CEC and Zurab Luashvili, Head of Certification and Project Management Division of CEC Training Centre received information on such important topics as working out short-term and long-term strategies with regard to information technology development, election management, as well as the latest achievements and challenges of electoral technologies.
Training included discussions enabling representatives of a variety of election administrations to share their own experiences. In the context of the study programme, Avtandil Tsiskaridze, Head of Voters' List Formation and Informational Technologies Department of the CEC delivered a presentation about specialized training programme on election management. The CEC representative talked about the role of information technologies in the electoral processes.
The Training was held on August 18-25 and 30 representatives from various election administrations took part in the programme.
