On June 6, within the frames of the program, Tamar Zhvania, CEC Chairperson, David Gurgenidze, Commission Member and Natia Zaalishvili, Director of the Centre for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings participated in the introductory meeting organized by the Ontario Election Administration. At the meeting, Georgian CEC delegates got acquainted with the modernizing process of electoral procedures, cybersecurity and new election procedures introduced for the June 7, 42nd General Elections. Ontario Election Administration Officials shared their experience in terms of electoral processes.
On E-day, Tamar Zhvania, David Gurgenidze and Natia Zaalishvili attended the opening and closing of polling stations, as well as monitored the voting procedures; Ontario Elections were held by use of modern electoral technologies.
On June 5-8, Georgian EA delegation participated in the visitor’ program on the basis of the official invitation from Elections Ontario.
