Electoral Administrator’s Courses Specialized program

During June 21 to June 30, 2018, the CEC and the Training Center will implement the training project Electoral Administrator’s Courses for potential lawyers of DECs.

The informational-training course developed by the Training Center as part of the project, envisages specialized training. A two-day training program will focus on the rule of administrative proceedings related to polling day applicatons/complaints and is aimed at supporting the development of qualified human resources for the Election Administration.

Through practical training used in the trainig program, the participants will get congizant with such important matters as:

causes for electoral disputes: identifying procedural risks at polling stations on a voting day;
administrative proceedings;
organizing of and the process of the DEC session;
preparing DEC/DEC Commission chair’s decision on electoral disputes;
pleading form and

The Training Center representatives will deliver Electoral Administrator’s Courses.

A citizen of Georgia with higher legal education is eligible to participate in the training course. It is desirable for the candidates to have experiece of working as a lawyer, experience of working at the Election Administration, Administration Officer’s certificate, the Training Center’s Law Clinic and/or Electoral Development School certificate.

The registration of candidates will be performed from June 4 through June 12, 2018, from 10:00 am to 18:00 pm, except for weekends. For the registratoin, candidates shall fill out an application (See the Application Form available in Georgian), which, along with an identity document and a university diploma, shall be submitted to a relevant DEC:

Additional information:

At the time of registration at the DEC, individuals interested in participating in the project will undergo testing that comprises questions from the Organic Law of Georgia the Election Code of Georgia and the General Administrative Code of Georgia.

The Training Center will conduct the Training Courses for Electoral Administrators in Tbilisi, at the address: 13^th km, D. Aghmashenebeli Alley (the CEC Building). The training program runs for two full training days. Based on the need, training participants will be provided training and accommodation complex services and meals. The Project will not cover transportation costs of participants.
