From April 30 through May 31, 2018, the Project Informed Young Voters was implemented at the CEC 9 partner universities: Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University, Gori State Teaching University, Akaki Tsereteli State University, Eastern European University, Grigol Robakidze State University, Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani Teaching University, Samtskhe-Javakheti State University, Caucasus International University, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University
The above initiative of the Training Center envisaged delivery of 2 hour seminars to university students. The focus of the seminars was the essence of elections and the importance of the role of voters in electoral processes for the President of Georgia October, 2018 Elections.
The Training Center representatives delivered the seminars. Students received certificates of participation in seminars. 315 students took part in the project, among them 249 - female, 66 – male.
The project Informed Young Voters has been implemented stince 2013. It is aimed at promoting the topic of elections among youth, promoting raising their civic awareness and informing about fullf-fledged realization of electoral rights, which, in turn, envisages promoting more active participation of young voters in elections.
